IN FOCUS
How big would an upset win over UCLA be? The Cougars haven't beaten the Bruins at Friel Court since the 1992-93 season, when WSU freshman Klay Thompson was 3 years old and coach Tony Bennett was playing for the Charlotte Hornets of the NBA. The Cougars will need a big game from center Aron Baynes, from their crowd and from senior Taylor Rochestie, who will be matched against Darren Collison, one of the top point guards in the nation.
ROSTER REPORT
--C Aron Baynes scored 17 points on 6-for-7 shooting from the field and added 12 rebounds in the win over Oregon State. He topped that with 19 points and 12 rebounds against Oregon, his first two double-doubles of the season. His performance against the Ducks also included his first career 3-point basket.
--G Taylor Rochestie had 14 points and eight assists against OSU, then scored a career-high 30 points vs. Oregon. He is averaging 21.0 points over the past four games and has scored in double digits nine straight games.
--G Klay Thompson had 12 points and five assists against Oregon State, then had 15 points at Oregon and already has cracked the Cougars' all-time freshman top-10 scoring list.
