Ok so I know that the Big Ten is expected to be really good this year (maybe we finally win the BigTen/ACC?), but I am surprised at the lack of respect the Badgers are getting in various preseason previews. You would think that more sports writers would be giving Bo Ryan the benefit of the doubt considering his record at UW (never missing the tournament and never finishing lower than 4th in the le ...(more)

I watched the game last night on the computer as it ws live streamed on bigtennetwork.com. They looked fantastically good for most of the game. The last 10 minutes got a little sloppy but Bo was also putting ALOT of different combinations on the florr at that point as well. I know the competition isn't much but you could tell the team was pushing tempo more than ever. I told you that this ...(more)

The nonconference schedule is not completed but frankly from what I can see even if the rest are cream puffs the Badgers will have one of, if not the best SOS in the nation next year. Not only do they play Duke next year but they also play in the Maui Invitational (a hugely tough tourney), and they'll play Marquette and the other two in state schools. Knowing Greg Gard though I suspect an ...(more)

As many probably know Royce White was suspended indefinitely for shoplifting and 5th degree assault. He tried to steal $100 of merchandise at Macy's and pushed the security guard down to the ground multiple times.

It will be interesting to see what Minnesota does with him. Taylor and Glover got dismissed for stealing from dorm rooms. I guarantee UM doesn't have it in them to suspend

The recruit most likely to replace Vander will be at tonights game against Bemidji. He is also being wooed by Arizona State, Northwestern, Michigan and a bunch of mid majors. He is a 6' 8" wing with a great shooting touch and a great handle (a former PG). Sounds like a Krabbenhoft type only with a better shooting stroke. I like it, hope Bo lands him

With the publication of Dick Vitale's and ESPN"S pre-season hoops forecasts, Wisconsin has now failed to make the Top 40 in either  basketball or football.  How long since that happened?

Nobody is ganging up on the Badgers. As the guy who used to compile the wire service coaches' voting, I can tell you this is an honest reflection of how analysts who do this stuff for a l

Stumbled upon this through the UW Basketball Insider email.  Thought it was a good, accurate take on the upcoming season.  I might have to bookmark the authors blog.

J.P. Tokoto became one of the youngest players ever to receive a scholarship offer from the University of Wisconsin Wednesday afternoon.

The multi-skilled and ultra-athletic 6-foot-5 wing player recently completed his freshman season at Menomonee Falls and is now playing on the grassroots scene for the Wisconsin Playground Warriors.

I was flipping through the channels the other day and came across the Big Ten Network, which happened to be replaying this past years Iowa vs Wisconsion BB game in Iowa.  I had to turn the dam game off and not watch it again even though I could basically watch Badger sports years round (especially basketball).  That game was very hard to take.

This got me to thinking...

Apparently, Cam decided to verbal to Pitt today.  It really puts a lot of pressure on the coaching staff to try to nail down Blue at this point.  Cam really would have been a nice fit at UW, and it seemed like we had a good shot at landing him.  He took a tour at Pitt, which started to recruit him only as of late, and verbally commited after that.  He never took a visit to UW.& ...(more)

I was asked to keep this a secret when i was told by Van Blue...but he officially re-opened up his recruitment today.  Im a good friend Van's and he has pretty much known that he was gonna decommit from UW for a while now, and i say good for him.  He doesnt deserve to dumb his game down to fit into Bo Ryans system that no longer works in my opinion.  Him opening up his commitment me ...(more)
