Apart from coming away with a win, that was about the most painful game I have ever watched the Badgers play. I think both teams were taken out by the officiating and even when they played soft after 50-some fouls were called, there was a foul on virtually every possession. I think Leuer played about 10 minutes total. Hughes carried the team and had a couple big plays at the end and the held ball ...(more)

The official "Wisconsin will beat Duke" thread!!! Hopefully.....maybe.....probably...
..

Seriously guys...what's your thoughts on Tuesday's game? We gonna win? lose? Is it gonna be close? How many points will Nankivil have? Will our defense be able to stop Singler and Scheyer? Any other thoughts? Bring it on, let's spit it all out!!!

Well, I can't say I was surprised at the outcome, though the game was well competed at stretches. We didn't turn the ball over much but got killed in transition for the most part. Gonzaga deserves a lot of credit for clawing ahead with a lot of talent in Gray, Bouldin and Sacre plus a couple others. For such a new and reconstructed team they played very well together and deserved the win.

Now that the tourney is over I think we can make some assumptions about this season....Good win vs. AZ game was pretty sloppy though but a wins a win.....Gonzaga played way faster pace the we were used to and we got lit up by a pretty good team...Strong win vs. Maryland we did a good job shutting down Vasquez and Leuer played great

Wisconsin is entering a season in which many projections say that they will not make the NCAA Tournament for the first time in the Bo Ryan era.  This, I believe, is just a lack of respect.  There certainly is not as much raw talent at Wisconsin as there are at other schools, but they are better coached than almost any team and have a high level of willpower.  They should be in good ...(more)

As many probably know Royce White was suspended indefinitely for shoplifting and 5th degree assault. He tried to steal $100 of merchandise at Macy's and pushed the security guard down to the ground multiple times.

It will be interesting to see what Minnesota does with him. Taylor and Glover got dismissed for stealing from dorm rooms. I guarantee UM doesn't have it in them to suspend

The nonconference schedule is not completed but frankly from what I can see even if the rest are cream puffs the Badgers will have one of, if not the best SOS in the nation next year. Not only do they play Duke next year but they also play in the Maui Invitational (a hugely tough tourney), and they'll play Marquette and the other two in state schools. Knowing Greg Gard though I suspect an ...(more)

On another thread there was some talk about recruiting and promises to recruits about playing time.  Here is the link to the other thread.  http://www.cbssports.com/mcc/messag

I am pretty excited to see the Badgers tonight.  I will be at the game in section 122, row BB.  I was listening to Lucas and Lepay yesterday and they said the Badgers should be tested tonight by Oakland U.  Does anyone have a line on Oakland? I haven't heard much about them other then a few comments such as, they are favorites to win the Summit league.

An observation about college basketball press coverage.  If you haven't noticed...Kentucky beat Miami (Ohio) not Miami FL.  Miami is ranked 133 on Pomeroy and 143 rpi ranking (CBS Sportsine).  Kentucky is ranked number 4 in the nation and they should have beaten miami by a wide margin, instead they barely won the game.  The only press coverage about the game is positive.&nbs ...(more)

This is an overview of the 3 recruits for 2010. Nothing too in depth, but its worth reading.

This is kind of off topic, but one thing that really caught my eye was Bo's comment relating to Gasser.

Again I know it's exhibition but UW-Superior is suppsoed to contend for their conference and are ranked #7 in Division 3 so it's nice to play a team that knows what they are doing, plays a system and sticks to it.

That said this up tempo offense is looking really good on this team. This team is reminding me on the 05-06 team (pre-suspensions) that was able to play at a pretty fast tempo
