Quick Take
BIG12 Missouri ended Baylor's surprising run through the Big 12 tournament, claiming their first tournament title in 16 years.

In a topsy-turvy Big 12 tournament quarterfinals, top seed and three-time defending tournament champion Kansas was stunned by ninth-seeded Baylor, while Oklahoma, which was looking to stake claim to a No. 1 seed in the NCAA tournament, was upended by seventh-seeded Oklahoma State.

The victory for the Cowboys over the second-seeded Sooners likely secured an at-large invitation even though they followed it up with a loss to Missouri in the semifinals. Texas A&M and Texas also appear safe for an invite.

Kansas State will be sweating it on Selection Sunday after a quarterfinal loss to Texas. Though the Wildcats have a trio of nice road wins on their resumé, their RPI and SOS is lacking and their five victories vs. teams in the RPI top 100 are on the low end among bubble teams, especially being from a major conference.

Baylor, which went 5-11 in conference play during the regular season, put itself back on the bubble with their tournament run, but most likely will not garner a bid.

2009 Big 12 Tournament Talk Back

I think the Kansas Jayhawks have a huge chance to repeat as Big 12 Champions again. I am not worried about Oklahoma Sooners or Blake Griffin. There was not even one player that stepped up for the Sooners when they played the Kansas Jayhawks Last Monday night and the Kansas Jayhawks was able to but a lead on the Sooners and beat them on Norman. And everybody thought with Blake Griffin they could ...(more)
