VCU is going back to the NCAA tournament for the second time in three seasons, and just like 2007 when they knocked out Duke in the first round, this looks like a team that can do some damage. Led by the inside-outside tandem of Eric Maynor, the two-time CAA player of the year, and Larry Sanders, the Rams cruised to their third consecutive regular-season title. In the tournament final against defending champion George Mason, Maynor poured in 25 points and dished out eight assists, while Sanders set championship game records with 20 rebounds and seven blocks.
