Freshman reserve Steve Peterson scored his only points of the game on a pull-up jumper with 1.4 seconds left in double OT to lift Morehead State past Austin Peay and into the NCAA tournament for the first time since 1984. It was the Eagles' third victory of the season over Austin Peay, which was seeking its second consecutive tournament berth. OVC player of the year Lester Hudson and regular-season champion UT-Martin, which was knocked out by Morehead State in the semifinals, will have to settle for a trip to the NIT.
