Former BC starters set to play for Marshall this fall

Marshall has landed a pair of former Boston College starting defensive backs who will be eligible to play for the Thundering Herd this fall, a source told CBS Monday morning.

Dom LeGrande and Orlando Okoraho graduated from Boston College and have been accepted into grad school at Marshall, so they are eligible to play imediately.

The 6-3, 211-pound LeGrande started six games in 2009 and was a reserve in 2010, making 21 tackles. He opted to transfer before the start of the 2011 season.

The 6-1, 205-pound Okoraho, a native of Lagos, Nigeria, started six games in 2010 but was dismissed by Eagles coach Frank Spaziani for disciplinary reasons before the 2011 season.

Marshall, which lost its top four tacklers from last season, has to replace both starting safeties from 2011.
