Pac-12 musings on the next uniform unveiling

Northwestern unveiled new Under Armour uniforms on Thursday that were a sight better than the abominations Under Armour created for Maryland last season.

It got us wondering which Pac-12 school will be the next to unveil a new look. Arizona State broke out some pretty sweet looking duds last year and rumor has it they may add to that collection this season. Washington State unveiled new uniforms last season that included an all-gray alternate. Even Colorado got in on the act.

But when it comes to fashion, we're going to put our money on the standard bearer for trend-setting: Oregon. They seem to have a new one every month.

Unfortunately, Ducks RB Kenjon Barner wasn't giving anything away at Pac-12 Media Day.

“Who knows what to expect?” he said. “It's Oregon.

But Barner did take a subtle jab at some of the other teams that have tried to copy Oregon's fashion sense -- the Terrapins in particular.

“I look at teams and kind of wonder what exactly was the reasoning behind it,” he said. “But everybody wants to be fresh, and everybody wants to be brand new and innovative, so I can see where you're coming from.”

We might have to wait until bowl season to see what Nike and the Ducks have in store.
