Oklahoma State QB Wes Lunt injures knee, may only miss one game, report says

What looked to be a serious knee injury for Oklahoma State QB Wes Lunt could turn out to force him to miss only one game, according to a report.
The freshman left Saturday's game against Louisiana-Lafayette early in the first quarter with an injured left knee that did not look pretty. (Check out this screen grab of Lunt's knee. Warning: It's ugly.) Fox Sports sideline reporter Jim Knox reported he was told Lunt's injury was not serious and would keep Lunt out 2-3 weeks.
If true, that's a relief for the Cowboys. Redshirt freshman J.W. Walsh took over for Lunt and had a great first half, throwing for 240 yards and three touchdowns. The Cowboys led 44-0 at the half.
Oklahoma State has a bye next week and then plays Texas at home in the Big 12 opener on Sept. 29. The Cowboys have another bye the following week before traveling to Kansas on Oct. 13, so if Lunt is only out 2-3 weeks, he would only miss the Texas game.
