ACC: NFL Draft prospect watch -- Week 13
Here's the latest on the ACC's top players who are projected to go from playing on Saturdays to starring on Sundays.
1. DE Bjoern Werner, 6-4, 255, Florida State
Why he has the top spot: While the Seminoles lost to Florida on Saturday, Werner had a monster game. He had six tackles, 3.5 sacks, 3.5 tackles for loss and recovered a fumble. Most of his impact plays, including the fumble recovery, came in the third quarter, helping Florida State to erase a 10-point halftime deficit. Werner now has 13 sacks, which is tied for the most in the nation, and he is second in the ACC with 18 tackles for loss.
Season stats (12 games): 39 tackles, 13 sacks, 18 tackles for loss, forced fumble, fumble recovery, 7 pass breakups.
Player ranking: Werner is ranked No. 7 overall and is the top defensive end in CBSSports.com's latest player rankings.
Up next: Florida State takes on Georgia Tech on Saturday in the ACC Championship. This will be a different test for Werner considering the Yellow Jackets run an option offense.
2. DE Cornellius Carradine, 6-5, 265, Florida State
Why he has the second spot: Carradine had to leave Saturday's game against Florida in the fourth quarter due to a knee injury, and coach Jimbo Fisher announced Sunday that Carradine will miss Florida State's final two games with a torn ACL. He once again led the Seminoles in tackles Saturday with 11 while also tallying a half-sack and 1.5 tackles for loss. Because of his injury, Carradine fell 55 spots in CBSSports.com's player rankings.
Season stats (12 games): 80 tackles, 11 sacks, 13 tackles for loss, forced fumble, fumble recovery.
Player ranking: Carradine is ranked No. 110 overall and is the No. 14 defensive end in CBSSports.com's latest player rankings.
Up next: Carradine's season is over due to a torn ACL.
3. CB David Amerson, 6-3, 194, NC State
Why he has the third spot: Amerson had five tackles, an interception and two pass breakups in NC State's 27-10 win over Boston College on Saturday. The Wolfpack held Boston College QB Chase Rettig to just 123 passing yards and three interceptions while completing just 16 of 45 passes. Amerson is tied for eighth nationally with five interceptions this season.
Season stats (12 games): 54 tackles, 0.5 tackles for loss, 5 interceptions, 16 passes defended.
Player ranking: Amerson is No. 40 overall and is the No. 4 cornerback in CBSSports.com's latest player rankings.

Keep an eye on: G Omoregie Uzzi, 6-3, 300, Georgia Tech
Why you should watch him: The Yellow Jackets are No. 3 nationally in rushing offense with 323.3 yards per game, and Georgia Tech is averaging 5.6 yards per carry, the fifth highest in the country. In their last four games, the Yellow Jackets are averaging 346.5 yards per game and have 16 rushing touchdowns. Uzzi has earned All-ACC honors each of the past three seasons and has been named to the first team the last two years.
Season stats (12 games): 12 starts.
