Here's the latest on the SEC's top players who are projected to go from playing on Saturdays to starring on Sundays.
1. LB Jarvis Jones, 6-3, 241, Georgia
Why he has the top spot: The postseason awards are already beginning to pile up for Jones. He's been named CBSSports.com's SEC Defensive Player of the Year and he will be in the mix for multiple national awards as well. He's earned them. He proved to be the most feared defender in the SEC and he will likely cash in as a top draft pick in 2013. His relentless speed and knack for timely big plays are among the traits that make him great.
Season stats (11 games): 77 tackles, 12.5 sacks, 22.5 TFLs, 7 forced fumbles, 33 QB hurries, INT.
Player ranking: Jones is ranked third overall, and he's the highest-ranked outside linebacker in CBSSports.com's latest player rankings.
Up next: The Bulldogs face Nebraska in the Capital One Bowl on Jan. 1.
2. WR Justin Hunter, 6-4, 200, Tennessee
Why he has the second spot: It wouldn't be fair to say that Hunter had an off year. There were a few disappointing moments and he wasn't as dominant overall as some predicted, but Hunter, one of the most athletic players in the nation, will still be an enticing option for an NFL team in need of a WR who can stretch the field should he decide to declare for the draft early. He did erase concerns scouts might've had about his surgically-repaired ACL coming into this season.
Season stats (12 games): 73 catches for 1,083 yards, 9 TDs.
Player ranking: Hunter is ranked No. 44 overall and is the fifth-highest ranked wide receiver in CBSSports.com's latest player rankings.
Up next: Tennessee's season is over.
3. QB Tyler Wilson, 6-3, 220, Arkansas
Why he has the third spot: Nothing really went as planned for Arkansas this season. That includes the season of Wilson, who entered 2012 thought to be a likely high first-round pick in 2013. His stock took a hit this season, but he remains a viable option for NFL teams looking for a potential franchise QB. He has the size and the arm strength to be a good pro. He'll need to work on his accuracy and decision making after taking a step back in those areas this season though. His completion percentage dropped to 62.1 percent this year and he threw 13 INTs, more than double last year's total.
Season stats (11 games): 249 of 401 (62.1 percent) for 3,387 yards, 21 TDs, 13 INTs.
Player ranking: Wilson is ranked as the No. 27 overall prospect and is the third-highest ranked QB in CBSSports.com's latest player rankings.
Up next: Arkansas's season is over.
Keep an eye on: DT John Jenkins, 6-3, 360 pounds, Georgia
Why you should watch him? Jenkins' value comes more in the space he takes up than the numbers he produces. Though often overshadowed by Jones, Jenkins is a big part of what makes Georgia's 3-4 defense work. It often takes two blockers to move the massive interior defensive lineman and he makes it difficult for OL to get to the next level and block the LBs. Jenkins will be a good fit for an NFL team that utilizes the 3-4.
Season stats (12 games): 50 tackles, 2 TFLs, sack
Player ranking: Jenkins is ranked as the No. 20 overall prospect and is the fifth-ranked defensive tackle in CBSSports.com's latest player rankings.
Up next: The Bulldogs face Nebraska in the Capital One Bowl on Jan. 1.
