Bo Pelini isn't interested in the Arkansas job

By Tom Fornelli | College Football Writer
You can add Nebraska's Bo Pelini to the list of coaches who have been denying any interest in the newest job opening at Arkansas .

Though his name has been thrown around as a candidate in various circles since it was announced that Bobby Petrino would not be coming back to Fayetteville on Tuesday, when asked about it at practice on Wednesday, Pelini did not sound like a coach looking to move.

“You talking about the Arkansas thing?” Pelini asked the Lincoln Journal Star. “Actually, I didn't even know my name got thrown around. I don't even know how that stuff happens.

“I'm here and I'm happy to be here.

"I always say this (Nebraska) is a destination job; it's not a steppingstone job. People throw names out there. At the end of the day, we're focused on trying to win a championship here.

"That's all I'm concerned with. That's what we're looking forward to doing -- having the best football team we can this fall."

Pelini also said having his name connected to the Arkansas opening is "kind of ludicrous" so if there were any Nebraska fans worried about losing their head coach, they can probably rest easy.
