Mississippi State to get new uniforms this summer
Mississippi State is the latest team that plans to unveil new uniforms for its football team, joining, well, just about every other school.Athletic director Scott Stricklin made the announcement on the school's website.
There are no pictures available, nor is there any word of what the new uniforms will look like. The only thing Stricklin said was that the uniforms would be coming this summer, and the school would announce an exact date in the coming weeks.
Which leads me to believe that final plans for the uniforms have not been finalized, and if that's the case, I'd like to get my idea for Mississippi State out there while I can.
I could care less about the colors, all right? Just stick with your traditional colors. However, I have one innovative idea that may not just change the course of football history, but maybe human history as well.
Cowbell uniforms.
Uniforms made of cast metal and in the shape of cowbells, with the player's head being where the handle would be. Just cut a couple arm holes on the sides, and the bottom is open which will serve as leg holes and give the player complete range of motion below the waist.
Sure, it may be harder to tackle with these uniforms on, but you're wearing a shirt made of metal. You're only going to have to run into the ballcarrier anyway.
