2014 running back Dalvin Cook commits to Clemson
"Coach (Dabo) Swinney, we had a meeting after the morning practice. He let me know what a commitment really was, and he asked me if I was ready to do it. I told him that I'm all-in," Cook told 247Sports.
The 5-foot-11, 190-pounder had Clemson in the lead for most of his recruitment but also held offers from LSU, Florida State, Miami and USC. At the end of the day, Cook just felt comfortable pulling the trigger for the Tigers.
"The program itself just sticks out," he said. "It's the way they utilize their players and the bond I have with the coaches. Everyone here is just happy."
Cook is the second commitment for Clemson's 2014 class. Last year as a sophomore, he rushed for 876 yards and nine touchdowns despite sharing carries with fellow stud tailback and Florida State commit Joseph Yearby.
