Video: Time lapse of Cal's Memorial Stadium renovations

Construction crews have been busy of late in Pac-12 territory.

USC just opened it's sparkling new McKay Center, Husky Stadium is being renovated up in Seattle and even UCLA's famed Pauley Pavilion is getting a facelift.

Cal's Memorial Stadium might've been the venue most in need of a makeover, however. The picturesque facility was built in 1923 and was showing increasing signs of wear and tear. Anyone who has ever watched a game in the stadium in the last few years can attest to that. So, starting in 2010, Memorial underwent a $321 million overhaul.

The goal was to retrofit the stadium for earthquake safety, build a modern pressbox and upgrade the amenities.

The stadium is expected to be (mostly) ready for the home opener against Nevada on Sept. 1. We don't have pictures just yet, but check out this cool time lapse video in the meantime:
