On Saturday South Florida lost at home to Pittsburgh 27-3 in front of a lot of empty seats. It was the final game of a disappointing 3-9 season, and it seems it might also be the final game of Skip Holtz's tenure as South Florida's head coach.

According to the Tampa Bay Times, the school will announce the firing of Holtz on Sunday afternoon.

Holtz came to South Florida before the 2010 season after a successful five-year run at East Carolina. In Holtz's first season South Florida went 8-5 and won the Meineke Car Care Bowl. Since then, things have gone downhill for the Bulls.

South Florida is 8-16 the last two seasons, with a record of 2-12 in the Big East.

Holtz' final record in three seasons was 16-21.
