PHOTO/VIDEO: Gamecocks' Clowney takes his revenge for baffling call

Two plays in Tuesday's riveting Outback Bowl:

1. Michigan fakes a punt in its own territory, and the first down ultimately comes down to a measurement. Via our SEC RapidReports colleagues, this was what the measurement shows:

As you can see by the official's arm: this was called a first down. This was called a first down. THIS WAS CALLED A FIRST DOWN. Congratulations, replacement refs from the Seattle-Green Bay game: you've officially been one-upped. (The officials are from the Big East.)

2. The very next snap, after Michigan maintains possession following a video review, this is what South Carolina 's Jadeveon Clowney does to the player who shall forever be known as "poor Vincent Smith." (via SBNation):

But no video, no highlight, will do justice to the raw terror of watching Clowney do that live. Clowney will be picks No. 1, 1A, 1B, 1C, and 1D in next year's draft.

Oh, and did you notice him recover that fumble with one hand? The Gamecocks converted that turnover into a quick touchdown for a 27-22 fourth-quarter lead in the eventual 33-28 win.
