Had USC gotten its way, it's possible that Chip Kelly wouldn't have been the only coach that Oregon lost this week.

Ducks defensive coordinator Nick Aliotti was offered the same position with USC, but Aliotti turned the offer down because he "wants to remain with the Ducks," according to a report in The Oregonian.

Now, the key word there is Aliotti wants to remain with the Ducks. It's possible that a new coach could come in with his new staff, but the fact Aliotti turned down USC only increases the chances that offensive coordinator Mark Helfrich will take over the program -- no matter what athletic director Rob Mullen says.

As for USC, Lane Kiffin and the Trojans are still looking to replace Monte Kiffin, who stepped down from his position as USC's defensive coordinator to take the same job with the Dallas Cowboys.
