Oregon and Virginia have agreed to a home-and-home series between the schools, the Eugene Register-Guard and the Richmond Times-Dispatch reported. The first game will take place this season, on Sept. 7, when Oregon travels to Virginia.
The Cavaliers found themselves with an open date when Penn State canceled a game against Virginia last week.
As for when Virginia will make the return trip to Oregon, the Times-Dispatch reports that the game is tentatively scheduled for 2016, while the Register-Guard only mentions 2016 as a possibility.
The move helps both schools in 2013, as it give Virginia eight home games for the first time in school history and helps Oregon beef up a nonconference schedule that already includes a game against Tennessee at Autzen Stadium the week after traveling to Virginia.
