SEC school inquires about Tony Dungy for head coaching vacancy

Jon Gruden isn't the only former Super Bowl-winning coach and current NFL broadcaster to draw SEC head coaching interest.

An SEC school before the Tennessee firing -- presumably Arkansas or Kentucky -- reached out to Tony Dungy to gauge his interest in head coaching, according to a source. Dungy has made it known he's not interested in returning to the sideline.

Dungy, 57, doesn't have college coaching experience but holds a 139-69 record with nine playoff wins and a Super Bowl in 13 years as head coach of Tampa Bay and Indianapolis.

CBS Sports' Jason LaCanfora reports Tennessee and Arkansas are interested in Gruden, who appears to be a favorite among many Vols fans. Tennessee, which announced the firing of Derek Dooley on Sunday, hasn't won more than seven games since 2007.
