Could improved health spur a comeback for the Jets?

For the first time in a long time on Monday, the Jets had only one player miss practice -- WR Jason Hill, who has a lower back injury. Otherwise, the team is starting to get healthier.
RB Joe McKnight continues to recover from his sprained ankle and saw an increase in playing time -- four carries for 14 yards -- against the Rams on Sunday after not getting a single carry the week before in a loss to the Dolphins.
He said on Monday that he feels a lot better. The only nagging issue is, "I don't feel like I have the explosion."
However, LB Bart Scott returned from his toe injury, RB Bilal Powell returned from his shoulder injury (and, for good measure, scored the first two touchdowns of his career), NT Sione Po'uha seems to have returned to form after battling a low back injury since training camp, and, although he missed most of the week of practice, WR Jeremy Kerley (heel/hamstring) still had three catches for 43 yards, including one for 32 yards down the middle of the field.
TE Jeff Cumberland who had a hand injury is now practicing fully and said he has no restrictions.
As the Jets struggle to keep their playoff hopes alive, this return to health by many of their key players is one positive sign, especially as people look toward comparisons with 2009. That year, the Jets were also 4-6 after 10 games, and then they played their best football, ultimately arriving at the AFC Championship game.
