Team Reports
  • Kentucky: Heading into November, Kentucky had visions of playing in a New Year's Day bowl. The Wildcats were forced to settle for a berth in the AutoZone Liberty Bowl against East Carolina instead. Season-ending injuries to Kentucky's top receiver and top running back contributed to three-game losing streak to end the season. The Wildcats finished the season at 6-6 with only two SEC wins. More

  • East Carolina: After capturing its first C-USA championship with a 27-24 win at Tulsa, East Carolina makes its third appearance in the Liberty Bowl. The Pirates played in the 1994 game against Illinois and in 1995 against Stanford. More

Way to go Wildcats!!! Great Game!! I knew they could win, I called it, and put my money where my mouth was. Thanks Guys! Very impressive play on both sides of the ball. Aside from the slow start and sucky calls, I loved it. Horrible officiating, there needs to be a review of those guys' performance. Hartline was awesome and the D was solid as a rock when they had to be! Post your thoughts!

"I know it wasn't the Sugar Bowl or the Cotton Bowl like Bear Bryant, but it is significant. I'm very proud of these young men, the whole group of seniors. They accomplished something historic."
