Team Reports
  • West Virginia: The Mountaineers head into the bowl season, facing North Carolina of the ACC, a team that came within eight points of an 11-victory season, in the Meinecke Car Care Bowl on Dec. 27. The Tar Heels of coach Butch Davis lost to eventual ACC champion Virginia Tech, 20-17; lost at Virginia, 16-13; and at Maryland, 17-15. More

  • North Carolina: The Tar Heels will be looking for their ninth victory, which would be their most wins since the 1997 team finished 11-1. This is only the second time since then that they have won as many as eight games. They were 8-5 in John Bunting's first season as coach in 2001. More

Pat White is something rare. Not many players nowadays stay all four years when they are dominating the college level. Congratulations on being the first 4-time bowl winning QB and the leader in career all-purpose yardarge for the Big East. Now, it is time to go to the NFL and try to be the next Hines Ward or Randle El. Post your thoughts!
