Hester did a little bit of everything for Miami, rushing for 24 yards, catching two passes for 40 yards and returned three punts for a 13-yard average.
Bowl Notes
It was Miami's most lopsided loss in a bowl game. Previously it was 29-0 loss to Arizona in the Fiesta Bowl in 1994.
LSU piled up 471 yards, the most allowed by Miami this season.
LSU played in its 37th bowl game and is 18-18-1 all-time.
