The quarterback threw for 196 yards, two touchdowns and zero interceptions in his first start. Flynn also rushed for 39 yards and was named MVP.


Devin Hester, Miami
Hester did a little bit of everything for Miami, rushing for 24 yards, catching two passes for 40 yards and returned three punts for a 13-yard average.
 
Bowl Notes

  • It was Miami's most lopsided loss in a bowl game. Previously it was 29-0 loss to Arizona in the Fiesta Bowl in 1994.
  • LSU piled up 471 yards, the most allowed by Miami this season.
  • LSU played in its 37th bowl game and is 18-18-1 all-time.
