Game of the Week I: No. 9 LSU at No. 3 Alabama -- Get Tickets!
DarstJ. Darin Darst, Producer: Expect this game to be a lot like the LSU/Florida one -- low scoring, with the higher-ranked team winning. Neither team can pass much, so there should be a ton of running and lots of great defense. The one difference is Alabama's defense is better and has better special teams. Prediction: Alabama 13, LSU 10 DoddDennis Dodd, Senior Writer: LSU can't score and Alabama can't wait -- after sitting out for two weeks. This will be a defensive struggle on the order of the LSU-Florida game (13-3 Gators). All that Houndstooth, all that defense. Take Tide to win a mini-Iron Bowl. Prediction: Alabama 16, LSU 10
HorowitzJason Horowitz, On-Air Talent: Alabama was my national champion at the beginning of the season, and I'm not going away from it just yet. Having said that, Greg McElroy needs to get his act together in a hurry because there is only so much a team can do when it can ONLY run the ball, no matter how great Mark Ingram may be. I like 'Bama. Prediction: Alabama 19, LSU 16 RosensteinJohnny Rosenstein, Editor: Would you believe the Tide haven't beaten the Tigers in Tuscaloosa since 1999? It's true. Alabama snapped a five-game skid in the series with a 27-21 overtime win in Baton Rouge last season. The winner of this game will likely represent the West in the SEC title game. Expect the 'Bama D to deliver the victory. Prediction: Alabama 16, LSU 13

Game of the Week II: No. 15 Ohio State at No. 11 Penn State -- Get Tickets!
DarstJ. Darin Darst, Producer: Ohio State's offense hasn't been very good this year and I don't expect it to finally break out against Penn State. The Nittany Lions are a better team and have more playmakers, including running back Evan Royster, who has four 100-yard rushing performances in the last five games. Prediction: Penn State 23, Ohio State 13 DoddDennis Dodd, Senior Writer: An elimination game, perhaps, for a BCS bowl. Daryll Clark is playing as well as any quarterback in the country, certainly better than, ahem, No. 2 on the other sideline. Joe brings the magic one more time and keeps the Lions on track for, what the Fiesta? Sugar? Orange? Prediction: Penn State 27, Ohio State 10
HorowitzJason Horowitz, On-Air Talent: Anyone else think this is a battle of which quarterback plays better? I like Pryor. I think he will be a good quarterback, but at this moment I think he's under too much pressure and up against a defense that will make HIM beat it, and nothing else. Since the Iowa loss, Daryll Clark has 12 total TDs and one interception. Prediction: Penn State 24, Ohio State 14 RosensteinJohnny Rosenstein, Editor: Expect a low-scoring affair as two of the top defenses face off in a huge Big Ten battle. Which QB will lead their team to victory? Pennsylvania native Terrelle Pryor had a costly fumble in last year's 13-6 loss to Penn State. Daryll Clark was injured and replaced on the Lions' winning drive. The series is tied 12-12. Prediction: Penn State 19, Ohio State 17

Feelin good this week after going 2-0 last week (probably not a coincidence that I also stayed away from the Michigan game). Congrats to JMED2 again for going 2-0 and calling Texas Tech's upset victory over Kansas, you are kicking serious butt lately!

Two good games this weekend, lets get to them!

Game 1: Alabama and perhaps the best college ball player

I have one glaring question about the top 25 - What's up with Notre Dame at 19??? They lost to an increasingly bad looking Michigan team, and they dropped their one hard game on the schedule - USC. All their wins have come against mediocre or worse teams. The Big Ten looks like a joke this year, and Washington beat USC only because USC's starting quarterback was out. Do 6 wins against mediocre tea ...(more)

To many intangibles for Ohio State this time.. No.1 They're supposed to lose... That means they come out fightin like Hell..
This isn't the Nifty Lion team from last year.... 9 remaining starters.

To much D-line for Pn St to deal with....they're not Navy.. To much secondary when they can't run they'll get their pocket picked..  If Pryor can just be servicible his bullies

(POLL) Let me see!  #18 Oklahoma, with their backup quarterback and injured receivers defeated Tulsa 45-0,
and #5 Boise State slipped by Tulsa 28-21.

And there are people saying that BSU should get to play for the National Championship.  To be frank, Tulsa has a pretty good team and Boise State has a pretty good team.

Should BSU even be talked about in t

Very impressive !! Picking the ranked teams games straight up. Only 3 games (out of 27) had a slight difference of opinion. Why can't the so called experts man up and try to put a little thought into the games by picking against the line ? Probably because they don't have a clue. The way the expert section is now, is just a waste of screen space.

Yich....1-1 last week and the bonus game did not go my way...I think I'm going to stay away from predicting Michigan games for awhile...JMED2 had an impressive weekend, going 1-1 on the games of the week and also getting the Michigan and Michigan State games right (even if the scores weren't quite on)...congrats.

Game 1: This is an easy pick. Texas has won the last 1

Those scores are way to high.  Texas defense is awesome and OSU is playing somewhat limited on offense.  If OSU wins this game it will be 17 -16.  They will not score in the mid 20's or 30's.

Horns 33-10

They will come out to play, and for the first time since the mid 80's.  They have a great defense.

Last Saturday, I took underdog Indiana for my lock of the week. At three-point dogs, Indiana more than slipped by the Fightless Illini, winning the game by two touchdowns. Today, I'm going back to the Big 10, and I'm still hanging with the underdog - the Michigan Wolverines. Although, like last week, I hardly consider them the underdogs in this contest. And I expect them to win by at least a touch ...(more)

Harmon picks WV over So. Fla., but predicts a final score  So. Fla. 28- WV 27 ??  Knowing that the so called experts aren't too sharp, doesn't anyone at CBS Sportsline proof-read material before it is printed ? And if Harmon is a computer, then it needs some work !

First off, my prediction is Oregon 44 Boise 21
Why?
Oregon's dline, particulary the ends is going to be much better than advertised.  New Dline coach, Jerry Azzinaro has them ready to go.  Will Tukuafu will be pressuring Kellen Moore all game.  Expect numerous sacks and pressure resulting in at least 2 picks, one going for 6.
The BSU line on both sides is thin.
