Arkansas is continuing the process of moving on from l'affaire du Petrino by opening up the job position previously held by Jessica Dorrell.
The job was posted to the University of Arkansas human resources page Friday and reported by Arkansas Sports 360 Saturday. The position within the athletic department is titled "On Campus Recruiting Coordinator" and will be open for 30 days or "until filled." The post:
On the recommendation of Bobby Petrino, Arkansas athletic director Jeff Long waived certain requirements regarding the posting before approving the hire of Dorrell, one of only three applicants interviewed for the position. Dorrell was hired over 158 other applicants.
The current job posting requires previous NFL or Division I college football experience, a requirement reportedly absent from the posting before Dorrell's hiring.
Dorrell resigned April 17 after her relationship with Petrino was exposed following an April 1 motorcycle crash, the crash that famously led to Petrino's April 10 firing and the hiring of new Razorbacks head coach John L. Smith.
