After LSU gave up 22 points to FCS foe Towson, the Associated Press voters moved Florida State above LSU for the No. 3 spot in the poll. The coaches left the top five in place (Alabama, Oregon, LSU , Florida State, Georgia), moving South Carolina up as a result of Stanford's loss to Washington on Thursday night.
The Cardinal's loss on the road dropped them from the top 10 to No. 18 in both polls. The Huskies just make the cut after pulling the fourth-quarter stunner, appearing at No. 23 in the AP poll but just missing the cut by one spot in the coaches poll. After a narrow victory against New Mexico, Boise State lost their spot in the AP poll -- presumably to Washington. The Broncos are holding on at No. 25 in the coaches poll.
