The first BCS standings have been released, marking the first real turning point in the regular season. Bryan Fischer and I sit down for our weekly weekend wrap with the rankings in hand, set to make lots of paper airplanes with the fluid standings. There is plenty of football left to play, including showdowns between teams ranked in the BCS Top 10. If anything, these rankings have us more excited for the action in the coming weeks that will decide the teams in the BCS National Championship Game.
Bryan pulled a doubleheader on Saturday, starting at the Texas State Fair and ending with the wild shootout between Texas A&M and Louisiana Tech in Shreveport. La. We spend a good amount of time discussing the legend of Johnny Football, and how Oklahoma was able to tighten up defensively and lean on its rushing attack against the Longhorns.
