Ohio State QB Braxton Miller is 'symptom free' after being hospitalized

By Tom Fornelli | College Football Writer

Ohio State quarterback Braxton Miller was taken to the locker room on a cart before eventually being loaded into an ambulance on Saturday afternoon in Columbus.

Miller had to leave the game after he was slammed to the turf after picking up 37 yards on a run. He was down on the field apparently in a lot of pain before finally making his way to the sideline.

While on the bench, Miller was doubled over while surrounded by trainers. After a few minutes, he gingerly walked to a cart with the help of trainers before being taken to the locker room.

The ESPN broadcast of the game showed an ambulance pulled up outside the Ohio State locker room. Miller was loaded into the ambulance on a gurney before being taken to a nearby hospital.

The good news for Ohio State is that Miller is all right. Ohio State associate athletic director Dan Wallenberg tweeted on Saturday afternoon that Miller was "symptom free" after being examined by doctors, and would be released on Saturday.

Kenny Guiton replaced Miller at quarterback with the Buckeyes trailing Purdue 20-14 in the fourth quarter. Guiton led the Buckeyes to a 29-22 victory in overtime.
