Michigan's Brady Hoke says Denard Robinson will start this week

The Michigan offense has struggled in recent weeks, going two games without finding the end zone. Those offensive struggles were only magnified last weekend against Nebraska when quarterback Denard Robinson left the game with an elbow injury.

So Michigan fans will be happy to hear that Brady Hoke expects Robinson to start this weekend against Minnesota.

“Yeah, we feel real good,” Hoke said on the "Stoney and Bill" radio show. “He's gotten better each day, feels better each day. It's a little bit of a different injury, but it's come back this time a little slower. But he feels good.”

Robinson was replaced by freshman Russell Bellomy against Nebraska. Bellomy completed only three of his 16 passes -- his first 10 attempts were all incomplete -- and threw three interceptions. The Michigan offense managed only 98 yards of offense after Robinson left in the second quarter, and the Wolverines finished the game with 188 total yards.

This week in practice Bellomy has shared snaps with Devin Gardner, who was converted to wide receiver before the season. If Robinson gets hurt again against Minnesota, Hoke doesn't know which one would replace Robinson.
