Wisconsin RB Montee Ball ties NCAA record for career touchdowns

While this season hasn't lived up to the Heisman hype that surrounded his name over the summer, Wisconsin's Montee Ball has still put his name in the NCAA record books. Ball tied the record for career FBS touchdowns on Saturday with the 78th of his career.

The touchdown was a 7-yard run that cut Wisconsin's deficit against Ohio State to 14-7.

Ball tied the FBS record set by Miami (Ohio) running back Travis Prentice in 1999.

A Wisconsin running back in the record books is nothing new. Heisman Trophy winner and former Badger Ron Dayne is the NCAA's leader in career rushing yards, with 6,397 yards.
