PODCAST: Christmas Eve surprises, must-see bowl picks ahead

Why did anyone doubt June Jones in Hawaii? What happened to Ball State against UCF? Is a delayed Christmas gift for your spouse forgiven when he/she also has your gift en route because of a late online order? The Eye On College Football Podcast has all those answers and more in this pre-New Year's edition of the show.

Tom Fornelli (@TomFornelli) and Jerry Hinnen (@JerryHinnen) join me again to reflect on the long weekend of holiday games, debating the biggest surprises and highlighting the best performances. SMU's defense, led by 6-foot-8 senior Margus Hunt, stole the show by sacking Derek Carr seven times. Hunt also forced two fumbles and registered a safety in one of the biggest surprises of the bowl season to date.

Tune in as I get Tom and Jerry to break down their most and least confident against-the-spread picks leading up to New Year's Eve. The stretch -- which features 11 bowl games in three days -- is loaded with head-scratching matchups as well as some of the most enticing bowl games of the entire 2012-13 postseason.
