PHOTO: Alabama unveils BCS Championship Game uniforms

By Jerry Hinnen | College Football Writer

Given the rampant uniform experimentation going on in college football -- one that reared its ugly head again in the Outback Bowl, where Michigan's Adidas-designed maize-numbers-on-a-white-background jerseys made number identification impossible -- it's nice that some teams are keeping it simple, stupid.

One of those teams is Alabama, which Thursday unveiled the following Nike "Pro Combat" uniform for the BCS Championship game against Notre Dame:

There are lots more up-close photos at NiceKicks.com, including ones that show off the "Hypercool" mesh around the nameplate and elsewhere.
