Colorado players will knock over brick walls if kept out of your party

No coach wants to find out one of his players got in trouble with the law, but sometimes in the process of getting himself in trouble that player does something that might catch a coach's eye.

Take Colorado defensive lineman Samson Kafovalu for example.

The Daily Camera reports that Kafovalu was ticketed by police on Friday night after threatening to kill a security guard when a fraternity would not let him into their party. According to the police report the security guard at the party said Kafovalu allegedly yelled, "Don't [expletive] do this [expletive], I'll [expletive] kill you."

And while allegedly screaming obscenities and threatening to kill somebody certainly has its place on the football field, it's the fact that Kafovalu then reportedly bumped into a short brick wall and knocked it over after being forced out of the party that should impress his coaches.

What could a football coach want more than a defensive lineman that's willing to run through or bump into a brick wall?

Not surprisingly Kafovalu allegedly registered a .120 on a breathalyzer test at the scene after police showed up. He was issued a summons on charges of threatening bodily harm, trespassing, consumption of alcohol by a minor and the use of fighting words. No, I did not know there was a charge for "the use of fighting words" either.

Kafovalu was then allowed to leave the scene on his own and it is unknown how many more brick walls he knocked over on his way home.

Kafovalu finished his freshman season with 20 tackles and a sack after playing in all 12 games for Colorado last season. The school is aware of the incident and will discipline Kafovalu after finding out more about the incident.
