Alabama White House ceremony delayed by winter storm

Not much has been able to stop Alabama's football team from getting precisely what it wants the past few seasons, so maybe it's a good sign for the rest of the FBS that at least the Crimson Tide are still vulnerable to the whims of Mother Nature.

Thanks to the major winter storm that's threatening the East Coast, Nick Saban and Co. won't be making their scheduled trip to the White House on Wednesday to celebrate their third national title in four seasons, the school announced Tuesday.

The ceremony will be rescheduled for a later date still to be determined. The White House visit will likely come after the Crimson Tide wrap up their spring camp, which begins March 16 and concludes April 20.

Last year's ceremony was held in weather that was very, very much the opposite of the mix of wind, rain and snow that's forecast for the DC area this week. Here's another photo, and there's plenty more here:
