Oklahoma senior guard Tyler Evans re-injured the ACL in his right knee this week, Sooners coach Bob Stoops announced on Thursday.

Evans tore his right ACL in fall camp last August, using a redshirt for the 2012 season during his rehabilitation. The injury, which Evans suffered during a noncontact drill on Tuesday, will require a second surgery.

"Very unfortunate for him," Stoops said via The Oklahoman. Evans is expected to miss all of 2013, and the Sooners head coach indicated to reporters that his "football future is now uncertain." Evans has 29 career starts for the Sooners. It is unknown if Evans will apply for a medical hardship waiver with the NCAA for another year of eligibility.

The news comes less than a week after center Gabe Ikard suffered an injury on his right hand. Ikard's status for the 2013 season is likely to be unaffected by the injury, but the theme of poor health on the offensive line appears to have carried over from 2012. The Sooners lost three returning starters, including Evans, to season-ending injuries last season, and will be forced to reshuffle once again with the senior right guard out of the picture for 2013.
