Auburn fans everywhere are preparing to mourn the loss of the oaks at Toomer's Corner. Last week the board of trustees approved plans to redevelop the site where Auburn fans have rolled the historic oak trees after big wins.

After the Tigers' spring game on Saturday, the school will let fans roll the two live oaks for the final time. The trees, which were poisoned by Alabama fan Harvey Updyke Jr., will be removed three days later.

The War Eagle Reader has featured a profile on the Auburn fan who has, literally, put the corner on his back. Giancarlo Guida, a 2002 Auburn graduate, recently decided to pay tribute to the corner with a massive mural tattoo on his back.

According to Guida, the tattoo took more than 12 hours, two sessions of six hours, to finish. The complicated mural features Samford Hall and one of the Toomer's oak trees, complete with toilet paper flying in the wind.

Check out the War Eagle Reader for a complete profile on Guida, as he describes the meaning of each of his tattoos.
