USC offers Snoop Dogg's son football scholarship

First Lil' Romeo attended USC on a basketball scholarship. Then P Diddy's son went to UCLA on a football ride.

Now the Trojans are looking to up the hip-hop ante by offering a scholarship to Cordell Broadus, a rising junior wide receiver from Diamond Bar (Calif.) High and the son of Calvin Broadus, who is better known as the rapper Snoop Dogg (or, more recently, Snoop Lion).

Like his father, Broadus is spindly at 6-foot-3, 185 pounds, but no one's ever seen Snoop move this fast:

Broadus is not only physically gifted, but he appears to be a hard worker, too.

"I get my work ethic from my dad," Broadus told MaxPreps last fall. "He's a role model and always supports me. My mom and family support me too. I was taught that if you want something in life, you go after it and get it. I'm out here trying to make a name for myself and I won't stop until I get the job done.''

USC isn't the only school interested in Broadus, who will sign with the class of 2015. UCLA, Washington, Duke, California and Oregon State have all made offers to the talented wideout. But Broadus has long been a Trojan fan and, at this point, USC is seen as his most likely destination.
