Notre Dame will wear a helmet decal to honor Boston in its spring game on Saturday.
The decal, which features the Fighting Irish's shamrock with a Boston-style "B" in the middle, was shared by ESPN's Brett McMurphy. McMurphy is on campus Friday as part of ESPN's spring tour.

The decal likely will be one of several gestures by college football teams across the country this weekend in the wake of the tragic events at Monday's Boston Marathon. UMass will also be wearing helmet decals, as well as staging a new Boston Marathon "finish line" for any runners who were competing on Monday.
Those runners who register with UMass (more information here) will have an opportunity to run a lap around the field and cross the finish line -- which will be set-up at the 50-yard line. The runners will be presented a gift on behalf of the UMass football program and their names will appear on the video board.
