Pittsburgh has suspensed tight end Drew Carswell, defensive tackle Khaynin Mosley-Smith and defensive back Eric Williams and removed them from team activities, the school announced Friday. All three players are suspended indefinitely.

“We have strict and clear standards regarding these types of behaviors,” Pitt coach Paul Chryst said in a release. “What has occurred with these three young men does not represent the standards of our program or university.”

While the school release does not specify the "types of behaviors" the three players are being suspended for, reports on Friday morning claim that three Pitt football players were being detained after a drug bust in Oakland, Pa., that seized 20 bags of heroin.

According to the report, those three players were Carswell, Mosley-Smith and Williams.

Of the three players suspended, Williams saw the most time on the field in 2012, finishing the season with 52 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, a sack and an interception. Mosley-Smith played in 13 games and made eight tackles, and Carswell caught 13 passes for 163 yards and two touchdowns in 2012.
