PHOTO: Jack Hoffman visits White House after Nebraska touchdown

By Jerry Hinnen | College Football Writer

It turns out that the biggest breakout star of college football's spring practices doesn't even play college football.

That title belongs to 7-year-old Jack Hoffman. His battle against brain cancer made national headlines after video of his 69-yard touchdown run in Nebraska's spring game went viral and has totaled some 7.7 million views on YouTube. Hoffman has gotten his own trading card, substantially raised awareness of the fight against pediatric cancer and has now received one of the highest honors possible -- a visit with none other than the President of the United States.

From offical White House photographer Pete Souza:

The Lincoln Journal-Star on Monday quoted Jack's father, Andy Hoffman, as saying the family was "thrilled" with the opportunity.

And if you haven't watched the goosebump-raising original video yet, now's the time:
