Lunt announced his decision to leave Stillwater last week after spending this past spring practice competing with J.W. Walsh and Clint Chelf for the Cowboys' starting quarterback position.
His list of potential schools reflects his familiarity with coaches at those schools. Southern Miss coach Todd Monken recruited Lunt to OSU when he was the Cowboys' offensive coordinator, while Illinois, Louisville and Vanderbilt all tried to sign Lunt out of high school. Current Tennessee coach Butch Jones also recruited him when he was the head coach at Cincinnati.
Lunt started five games for OSU as a true freshman, throwing for 1,108 yards, with six touchdown passes and seven interceptions, while sharing time with Walsh and Chelf. He was the first true freshman to start a season opener at quarterback for OSU since at least 1950.
