The SEC conference schedule debate is up and running. Coaches and administrators have been weighing in on the issue, either supporting the popular trend of a nine-game conference schedule or voicing support for the current eight-game model.

On Thursday, Vanderbilt coach James Franklin joined the Tim Brando Show and explained why he believes the current eight-game model is appropriate for the 14-team SEC. Franklin makes a strong argument, proving that the proponents of the nine-game schedule (like Alabama coach Nick Saban) have some tough opposition in the conference.
