On Thursday, Florida hosted one of its top recruiting targets in the 2014 class as a black bear that's considered one of the top recruits in the state visited campus.

The bear, a four-star defensive end from nearby Paynes Prairie Preserve State Park, has been sought after by many of the top colleges in the country, but Florida is considered the favorite for the bear's services due to its proximity to home.

While the bear would not come out and say that Florida was the favorite to grab his commitment, he did make it sound like he enjoyed the visit.

"Rooooooaaarrrrrrrrrr," said the bear when asked what he liked best about the trip before knocking over a nearby garbage can in search for food. "Roooooaaaarrrrrr."

The bear visited Ben Hill Griffin Stadium and toured the campus while also wrestling Florida coach Will Muschamp on the 50-yard line. While Muschamp pinned him in a matter of seconds, the bear maintains that he let Muschamp win.

"Roar," said the bear.

If the bear does commit to Florida, he will be the first bear in the SEC since Bear Bryant.

None of this actually happened ... or did it? No, no, it did not. Though a bear really was on the loose in Gainesville on Thursday, so it's possible the bear is looking for a scholarship.
