Dennis Dodd checks in from Tuscaloosa after talking Texas A&M with Nick Saban and the Alabama players. We preview the season's most anticipated rematch along with Texas' struggles and a wide-open Heisman Trophy race in the new edition of the Eye On College Football Podcast.

Dennis is a fan of the "Johnny Cam," the camera that will focus on Manziel for the entire time he is on the field before, during and prior to the Aggies' SEC opener against the two-time defending BCS champs. We discuss the TMZ-era of college football stardom, where every expression and gesture -- not to mention play -- is going to become a headline.

We also discuss hot seats, and how the dismissal of Texas defensive coordinator Manny Diaz has put head coach Mack Brown in the crosshairs. At USC , the Coliseum crowd rained down chants of "Fire Kiffin" during the final moments of the 10-7 loss to Washington State. Could you imagine what would happen if Texas and USC had job openings at the same time? There are still three months left until the carousel spins, but things are heating up quickly for both coaches.

We also talk Marcus Mariota as a Heisman Trophy candidate and Baylor as the emerging frontrunner in the Big 12.
