PHOTO: Virginia Tech unveils Military Appreciation Day uniform

Back in April, the camouflage-themed helmets for Virginia Tech's Military Appreciation Day uniform surfaced. But with that Sept. 21 date vs. Marshall now only days away, the Hokies have unveiled the rest of the uniform. Via Andy Bitter of the Virginian-Pilot:

Camo is like cayenne pepper: a little bit of it can be a nice touch, and too much can send things off the rails in a hurry. This look feels like it's edging towards "too much, " but Lord knows college football fans in the year 2013 have seen far worse alternate looks. (And of course -- it goes without saying -- whatever its fashion merits, any Military Appreciation Day uniform is going to have its heart in the the right place.)
