The Pac-12 reprimands officials from Arizona State-Wisconsin game

By Tom Fornelli | College Football Writer

If you saw the end of Saturday night's game between Arizona State and Wisconsin odds are you're still trying to figure out just what happened, and what caused the officials to do what they did.

On Monday the Pac-12 has officially reprimanded and "taken additional sanctions against" the officials involved in the game.

"This was an unusual situation to end the game," said Pac-12 Commissioner Larry Scott in a release. “After a thorough review, we have determined that the officials fell short of the high standard in which Pac-12 games should be managed. We will continue to work with all our officials to ensure this type of situation never occurs again."

Well, I'm sure that makes Wisconsin fans feel a lot better.

Seriously, though, the ending of that game was so completely bizarre that I don't think the Pac-12 or any other conference should worry about it happening again.

It won't. Hopefully. Probably. All right, it will. This is college football we're talking about.
