“Test results revealed he suffered a tear of both his ACL & medial meniscus, which will require season-ending surgery," said Florida coach Will Muschamp.
Muschamp also said that the injury occurred during a non-contact drill on Tuesday.
The loss of the Gators' best defensive lineman, potential All-American and senior leader is obviously a staggering, staggering blow. Easley becomes the second vital Gator to be lost for the season to injury in a matter of days. Starting quarterback Jeff Driskel broke his leg against Tennessee Saturday.
And Driskel and Easley are only two of the six players the Gators have now lost for the season due to injury.
