If Georgia's going to beat LSU in their top-10 showdown, it will have to do it without their leading rusher.
Sophomore running back Todd Gurley sprained his left ankle in the second quarter of the Bulldogs' home game vs. the Bayou Bengals, went to the locker room, and did not return. Mark Richt told CBS reporter Tracy Wolfson he did not know if Gurley would be available.
But Gurley did not appear ready for any potential return, having removed his shoulder pads and put on a walking boot.
Wolfson further reported that Gurley had told teammates he was "fine," but when the second half started Gurley was on the Georgia sideline in street clothes, ending any speculation on whether or not he'd be returning to the game.
Entering the game, Gurley had rushed for 377 yards and 4 touchdowns in Georgia's three games, with an average of 6 yards per-carry.
