Alabama will be without one of its defensive starters for the forseeable future, as it was announced Wednesday evening that starting safety Ha'Sean Clinton-Dix has been suspended indefinitely.

Nick Saban would only say that Clinton-Dix had been suspended for a violation of team rules. He would not go into detail on what team rules were violated, nor would he speculate on how long Clinton-Dix would be out.

"I don't know for how long this will be, so don't ask me that," Saban told reporters.

So while we don't know how long Clinton-Dix will be out, what we do know is he's been a key part of the Alabama defense. Through four games this season the free safety has 24 tackles and two passes defended. During the 2012 season Clinton Dix had 37 tackles and four interceptions in 14 games.

Alabama hosts Georgia State on Saturday.
