UCLA was glad to escape Salt Lake City with a win over Utah on Thursday night, but the Bruins did not do so without some setbacks. According to coach Jim Mora, starting offensive tackle Torian White is out indefinitely after suffering a broken ankle in the second quarter of the 34-27 win.

According to UCLA beat writer Jack Wang, offensive line coach Adrian Klemm does not plan on burning any redshirts to fill White's spot in the rotation.

White's backup at right tackle on the two-deep is sophomore offensive guard Ben Wysocki and Klemm mentioned the possibility of moving starting left guard Xavier Su'a-Filo to a tackle position if needed.

UCLA's young offensive line helped pave the way for Johnathan Franklin and Brett Hundley to lead the Bruins offense in their Pac-12 South title campaign a year ago. The loss of White, a two year starter in all 14 games as a redshirt freshman in 2012, comes at an inopportune time, with road trips to Stanford and Oregon ahead at the end of the month.
